Certified Tutor
I am a Fulbright scholar and recent graduate of the Wake Forest University School of Medicine PA program. I am a board-certified Physician Assistant trained at a top-10 program, Wake Forest, with an additional Masters of Health Economics from Johns Hopkins University, the top-ranked #1 school of medicine and public health in the nation. During my undergraduate time at the George Washington University, I studied emergency medicine and biology on a Presidential Scholarship. I am also a private admissions consultant for pre-PA students, offering personal statement/supplemental essay editing, and beginning-to-end advising support.
Between undergrad and graduate school, I worked as an emergency department technician for three years in an academic Level I Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center, maintaining an active emergency medical technician certification. During this time, I also taught emergency medicine skills to undergraduates as a teaching assistant at the George Washington University.
I also completed a Fulbright Scholarship through the U.S. Department of State and served as an English Teacher in rural Malaysia, teaching English as a second language to middle school and high school students.
I tutor a wide variety of subjects, but I am most passionate about biology, English, and health economics. I particularly enjoy tutoring for NREMT test prep, anatomy/physiology, and editing medical and PA school admission personal statements. I have passed the NREMT three times, and my students have a 100% pass rate for PANCE and NREMT-B. I incorporate real-life examples from my career in emergency medicine into my lessons to help students remember key concepts and understand anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology.
I was accepted to two top-10 PA programs and scored in the 92nd and 87th percentiles for GRE Analytical Writing and Verbal Reasoning, respectively. Additionally, 100% of my personal statement clients have been accepted to medical school or PA school.
I am a huge proponent of making lessons fun, structured, and results-oriented. I am a fourth-generation educator and I absolutely love to connect with my students and get to know their learning style. In my free time, I volunteer as an English tutor with Higher Achievement, a non-profit supporting under resourced middle schools in Washington, D.C. I also enjoy hiking, yoga, running and traveling everywhere and anywhere.
I am so excited to get to know you and work together to accomplish your most ambitious academic and professional goals!

I love to run, hike, and practice yoga. I also enjoy traveling within the United States and internationally - I have lived in both Thailand and Malaysia. When I'm not practicing medicine, teaching, or traveling, you can find me spending lots of time with friends and family and my very sassy pup, Duke. I look forward to working with you and helping you achieve your most ambitious academic and professional goals!
