I graduated summa cum laude from Houghton University (a small liberal arts college) with a degree in philosophy, and I'm now finishing up my PhD at NYU (researching ancient Greek philosophy and math). I tutor in a wide range of subjects, focusing on language arts and test prep. I have over five years of experience teaching and tutoring students of many ages, from middle schoolers to older adults.

Education has unlocked many new experiences and opportunities in my life, and I am passionate about helping students improve their own lives through education. In my tutoring sessions, I cover both specific topics (like literature or history) and general academic skills (like note-taking and test-taking strategies). I leverage my extensive experience with standardized tests, competitive admissions, and multiple levels of higher education to equip my students with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed.
