Certified Tutor

I am an experienced and passionate tutor, proficient in various subjects across different academic levels. At the primary level, I teach Mathematics and English, including phonics. For secondary students, I cover Mathematics, English, and Science. At the GCSE level, I offer tutoring in Computer Science, Biology, Maths, Physics, and Chemistry for all boards. Additionally, I focus on Computer Science for all boards at the A-Level. I also assist students preparing for SAT and 11+ exams, as well as various English language proficiency tests such as IELTS, UKVI IELTS, TOEIC, and TOEFL. With a strong focus on inclusivity, I am adept at supporting SEN students effectively, having guided numerous students to achieve consistent improvement and notable increases in their confidence levels.
Proficient in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, C#, and script languages like JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, I bring a wealth of technical knowledge to my tutoring sessions. With my extensive experience, I am confident in my ability to guide my students towards enhancing their academic achievements. Furthermore, I am a patient and dedicated teacher, committed to creating a positive and nurturing environment that fosters the emotional, intellectual, and social growth of my students.
In terms of my educational background, I hold a CertTESOL certificate, providing me with a profound understanding of delivering the target language through context. Additionally, I completed a bachelor's degree in computer science and engineering, during which I diligently studied math and computer science until my 7th semester, thereby acquiring in-depth knowledge in these areas. Besides that, I recently completed a postgraduate diploma course in teacher training in the Montessori method at INTESOL Worldwide, UK, and obtained a certificate in teaching UK-based synthetic phonics. This background allows me to excel in creating engaging and exciting environments for teaching phonics and math, utilising real-world applications to make learning enjoyable and interactive.
My preferred teaching methodology is the ESA (Engage, Study, Activate) method. To begin with, I engage and captivate the class, followed by focused study of the target language. Next, students participate in controlled practice activities, and finally, they engage in free practice activities related to the target language.
