I have been tutoring and teaching for 8 years in chemistry, physics, and engineering. I received my BS in Chemistry and Physics with a minor in mathematics in May of 2020 during which I worked as a grader and tutor for organic chemistry and general chemistry. I am now in a graduate program in Mechanical Engineering, and I run a research and educational nonprofit focusing on teaching high school and undergraduate student how to break into research.
I have a passion for helping students learn in a way that best suits them which is why I started a tutoring company in the fall of 2021 focusing helping student succeed in STEM courses in undergraduate and high school curriculum. I closed this company and opened my nonprofit in 2022 focused on conducting high impact research design to benefit disadvantaged communities where currently we design prosthetics, and lab on a chip medical analysis focused on chronic kidney disease. We incorporate budding high school and undergraduate students into our research so these students can be given the opportunity to succeed.
I understand what it takes to rapidly get up to speed and understand a new subject. I suffered an industrial accident right after getting my undergraduate degrees and a few days before starting my graduate program which crushed my body, and resulted in my right arm being amputated. I couldn't begin my PhD program for another and a half and now three years later I am directing with a team of engineers two research projects the other project of which is the construction of a preparatory prosthetic which doesn't currently exist in the US. The next phase of development is a neuroprothetics which begins in May and I give this background to you to say I knew coding, and a little signal processing, but no circuit design, neuroscience, or mechatronics prior to my injury. Now using techniques I've learned through trial and error I am able to compete in the same space as people who have been studying in the space for years. It is just a matter of focusing on what is important to learn and ignoring the rest. Don't worry, we'll get there together)
I feel that many students struggle to find success in school, academia, or even business because they poorly define what it they need to learn and how they will achieve mastery in a way that works for them. Some students are more visual learners and require to be present at lectures while others may find it more effective to learn by doing the problem itself. Each student is different and not everyone only fit into one mold or style of learning and the best learning plan may be a hybrid of many learning technique. My favorite part about tutoring is that I can devote time to you the student and work with you to find the best learning technique for you.

I have a passion for Russian and English literature and plays. I also love hiking, trekking, landscape photography and cooking. I work out daily and I am a former ski racer. I am a competitive pistol, skeet, extreme range rifle shooter (1 mile plus) and reload all of my own ammunition. I love the symphony, classical music, opera, and metal music (weird combo I know). My favorite classical composers are Rachmaninoff, Dvorak, and Brahms and my favorite metal musicians are Motorhead, Accept, and Wasp
