Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of the Universita degli Studi di Padova (Italy). I received my Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics with a focus on foreign languages: Italian (native), English, Spanish and I am also fluent in French. I have been working with languages, in particular with translations, for nearly 15 years. I also hold a TESOL certificate. I have taught French/Italian in a secondary school, working with a mixed ability group of students, including Special Educational Needs, Speech and Language and English as an Additional Language. As a translator I have developed skills that are especially valuable for a language teacher, such as an advanced knowledge of the language, an attention to detail, and an in-depth cultural knowledge of multiple languages. I have also been homeschooling my daughter and have taught her 3 languages which today she speaks fluently. I have always emphasised the use of the target language as much as possible, inside and outside the classroom, as it is such a valuable way to truly learn a language. In my spare time I enjoy reading, yoga, travelling, and cooking. I'm also passionate about Nutrition and I hold a Diploma in Nutritional Therapy.
