I am a graduate of Walden University where I received my Master's Degree in Nursing Sciences with a focus on Adult through Gerontology studies. I am currently a Board Certified and Licensed Nurse Practitioner of Mississippi and Texas. I also am an Executive Board Member of a Texas Non Profit that focuses on Women's Health. And I have nearly three decades of Emergency Medicine experience as a Paramedic (now retired) and a Navy Combat Veteran.
I am extremely passionate about Health Education, Health Policy, Bioethics, Medical History, Emergency Medicine, and Healthcare literacy. As an educator for the last thirty-five years, I have learned that no two students learn alike. And that finding the right combination to help a learner have that "Ah HA!" moment is based on how well the educator personalizes the education.
I am an avid reader, I enjoy Anime (except Attack on Titan), I enjoy music of all kinds, and love a good horror movie. I am a nerd at heart, and I love to learn. I have been an educator of many things medical for the last thirty-five years, and I'd love to share my knowledge and passion for learning with you.

My interests and hobbies include various activities that I enjoy doing in my free time. One of my favorite things to do is writing. I find it to be a relaxing and creative outlet that allows me to express myself in unique ways. Another activity that I enjoy is listening to music of all kinds. Whether it's pop, rock, hip-hop, or classical, I find that music has the ability to transport me to another world. In addition to writing and listening to music, I also enjoy reading both fiction and non-fiction books. I find that reading is a great way to learn new things and expand my knowledge on various topics. When it comes to fiction, I enjoy reading all kinds of genres, from romance to mystery to science fiction. As for non-fiction, I enjoy reading books about history, science, and psychology. Another hobby of mine is watching horror movies. I find the thrill of being scared to be quite exhilarating and enjoy the suspense that comes with it. I also enjoy watching anime, as it allows me to explore different worlds and cultures that I may not have been exposed to otherwise. Lastly, I am an avid gamer and have recently been playing Elden Ring, which is known to be one of the hardest games out there. I enjoy the challenge it presents and the satisfaction I get from finally beating a tough level or boss.
