Certified Tutor

I am a Computer Science (Software Engineering) Graduate from Imperial College London, with 15 years' experience teaching Computer Science to students from age 9 through to Masters' degree. With a passion for learning I have gained additional post-graduate degrees, namely PGCE in ICT & Computer Science Education and a Masters' degree in Education.
As well as supporting students in the widely used languages such as Python, Java and C#, I have in depth knowledge of languages such as Haskell, Visual Basic, SQL, C and C++. I am very frequently asked to support students who are developing their understanding of object-oriented programming in many of the above listed languages.
I have tutored students with a very wide range of previous Computer Science experience, from complete novices to adept programmers tackling a new aspect of Data Science or Artificial Intelligence.
Over 15 years I have taught students in face-to-face settings in Inner-London schools, refining my teaching practice to very quickly personalise the support given to each student on their individual learning journey. I have developed programming-coaching practices to boost learners' confidence in problem solving and then the programming efficacy follows. My professional leadership experience also includes managing the schools' 16-18 'sixth form' provision as students prepare their university applications for their next step in education.
I have travelled widely (including South East Asia, all over Europe and the Caribbean) and worked with students around the globe as they all seek to become part of the incredible computer science / data science / information age revolution that is driving development and new opportunities. It is a very exciting time to be a tutor supporting so many students with such diverse ambitions for themselves and their communities.
