I have a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from York University. Before that, I did 2 years of Pure Mathematics in University of Waterloo before moving to Toronto and changing my program. I have been teaching and tutoring for most of my life. I have worked with students from grade 1 to postsecondary , both individually and in as a group and in a classroom. I have also experience working as a teaching assistant at York University, and I was a teacher in a private school for Afghan refugees, back home. I have experience teaching in both English and Farsi/Dari. I have also an academic knowledge of persons who live with mental health challenges and learning disabilities. I have worked with students who lived with Depression, anxiety, ADD/ADHD and other conditions, as well as anyone who needs special teaching accommodations without any diagnoses. I believe that every person is unique and the traditional teaching styles does not meet the needs of everyone, so I try different methods of teaching to find what works best for the student and base my teaching to their needs to get the best result. I help students to achieve the grades they want, but also help them learn in a way that set them for success in future courses as well.
My specialty is any subject within Computer Science area, such as programming languages (Java, C, C++, Bash and Shell Script, JavaScript , etc. ), operation systems (Linux, Shell and Bash script, POSIX, Windows and PowerShell, etc.), data structure and algorithm, software design pattern and algorithm design, database, computation and other related subject and topics. I am also specialized in Mathematics related subject such as Algebra, Calculus, Statistics, Geometry, logic and other similar topics. I can also help you with Physics, and any other subjects in elementary, middle and high school.
