Certified Tutor

I am a Chartered Psychologist and higher education lecturer. I have been lecturing in Psychology for over 9 years. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Counselling Studies and Psychology and pursued postgraduate study to achieve my Master of Science in Applied Social and Health Psychology. In addition, I am a qualified and recognised lecturer with the Higher Education Academy (UK), holding Fellow status.

My main subject areas for tutoring are psychological research methods, design, and analysis (all quantitative and elements of qualitative), individual differences (including, but not limited to, personality, intelligence, emotional intelligence, and attitudes), and all aspects of occupational/organisational psychology. Whilst I am still relatively new to external tutoring, I have supervised over 40 undergraduate dissertation students exploring projects in areas of decision-making, occupational behaviours, and risk-taking, and find immense passion in helping students gets to grips with areas of research that they previously had struggled with or not enjoyed.

I am under contract as an examiner with two examining boards that cover psychology A-level within the UK and therefore have experience and knowledge of A-level syllabuses. I enjoy covering A-level topics in tutoring and can apply my knowledge of marking criteria to help students prep for their A-level exams appropriately.

I strongly believe that education should be inclusive, and that no student is incapable of learning; they simply need the right mechanisms to help them learn appropriately.
