Certified Tutor

I am an undergraduate at University College London, pursuing a degree in Psychology and Education. I grew up in Singapore, and finished my schooling years in Jakarta with an International Baccalaureate Diploma. Over the years, I have had numerous opportunities to work with children and students like myself. Whether it was being a teachers assistant, leading service clubs devoted to teaching underprivileged youth in Indonesia, or tutoring friends and peers, I have always had a passion for imparting knowledge on others. I believe access to quality education lies at the heart of ones essential development, as learning inside and outside of the classroom is what allows us to grow as individuals. While I am available to tutor a range of subjects, I am very passionate about Psychology and Mathematics. I have always had a love for math, how the logical processing steps always leads to the correct answer. Both Psychology and Mathematics share their applicability to daily life, and I love the moment when one finally understands a concept within these subjects and is able to apply it to a variety of problems. Blessed with the opportunity to have tutors while in school, I grew to appreciate how helpful they were in strengthening my knowledge. My tutoring style is one that emphasises a warm and friendly environment, where students feel free to clarify their doubts and have a conversation regarding the concept they wish to learn more about. I firmly believe that practice, repetition, and a deep rooted understanding of knowledge leads to improvement in any subject - a philosophy that is indeed supported by psychological research! Outside of academics, I love to indulge in art, music, podcasts, the gym, and a fun game of basketball!
