Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC, earning my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a Violin proficiency. I have been an Elementary Educator for the past 25 years. In 2019 I earned my TESOL certification to teach English as a second language.
In addition to classroom instruction, I tutor students who need extra support in Math, English, and Reading. I also teach violin, viola, piano, and voice lessons. I have 3 years of online experience tutoring students learning English as their second language.
I am a patient tutor who uses positive encouragement to motivate my students to succeed. I am eager to incorporate fun into every lesson. When students are having fun, they are learning. I give my students the extra tricks and tools they can use to overcome learning obstacles. I bring energy and joy to each lesson. I find that an energetic classroom is the easiest way to keep students engaged. Having experienced the many different learning styles of students, I know that it is necessary to adjust my teaching to best meet each student's needs. My biggest desire is to help each student feel confident while learning.
