Certified Tutor

I am passionate about helping to spark the flame that gives a student a lifelong interest in learning. I have more than two years of tutoring experience that I would love to put to work for you. I have a bachelor's degree in Philosophy from The City College of New York, and a master's in Environmental Policy and Sustainability Management from The New School. I plan on either pursuing a master's degree in teaching next spring or starting to teach through the NYC Teaching Fellows program. I am proficient in teaching history, math, science, writing, and Spanish. I have a particular love of teaching history since that was my favorite subject in school, but mentoring students in any subject is rewarding. My approach meets a student where he or she is and builds on their knowledge and skills by creating lessons that will keep them engaged. Outside of tutoring, I'm interested in cooking, going on long bike rides, hiking, and reading science fiction. I'm excited to put my skills to work for you!
