I am a transitioning teacher from in-class teaching to working with studnets virtually. I am excited to have this opportunity to meet students from all over the United states! I have 18 years teaching in a public school setting and 5 years working with homeschooling. My BA is in Art and Design from College of the Ozarks and my M.Ed. is in Education from Drury University. I am a licensed teacher in Missouri and Arkansas in both Art and Gifted Education. I am also a Brainspring trained reading and Dyslexia coach. I have extensive experience in accessing students in reading, creativity, and intellectual ability. I have served as a Coordinator for Gifted Education, Advanced Placement, and Dyslexia Intervention in Arkansas for the last 5 years and have gained wonderful experience in working with students in a one-on-one setting for assessments and tutoring. I feel my strengths and passions are in reading, writing, art, and understanding the college bound ACT test.

Helping students understand their starting point, strengths, and reaching their goals is my focus. Breaking it down into workable pieces helps make it all possible!

I have too many to list! I really enjoy creating art in many ways - drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, ceramics, and fibre design. I have two crazy cats and live in a great place for hiking and kayaking. I love swimming and reading in my spare time.
