Certified Tutor

I graduated from Louisiana Tech University and received my Master of Arts in English with a focus on pre 1660 British Literature. During my time at Louisiana Tech University, I gained tutoring experience at the Louisiana Tech Writing Center, taught Freshman Composition 101 as a graduate teaching assistant, and substituted for both Composition 101 and 102 instructors. After graduation, I served as an interim English faculty member at River Oaks School. While in the field of teaching English, I became familiar with using Zoom, Moodle, Google Classroom, and various types of teaching technology. Overall, I am proficient in teaching/tutoring rhetoric, research, literary analysis, creative writing, grammar, and essay structure. I believe that sufficient practice and repetition of concepts advances one's understanding and adequately prepares students for the tests and challenges that lie in the path towards success. Through interactive and relaxed sessions, I provide students with the tools they need to excel in diverse academic environments.
