Certified Tutor

I have been a practicing Registered Dietitian for eleven years having worked in clinical, research and private practice. As an adult student with a busy family life who obtained a Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition degree in 18 months, I learned how to study effectively and efficiently, and I am excited to help my students do the same.

As a home educator, I have nearly thirty years of experience designing and developing curriculum into practical lesson plans. This instruction was tailored to meet individual strengths and weaknesses to ensure mastery of material, and it successfully launched four children into rewarding college careers with one as a 2019 National Merit Finalist. I look forward to assisting students in having this same success in the subjects that I tutor.

I am confident in tutoring candidates for the Registration Examination for Dietitians as well as the associated subjects having completed a didactic program in dietetics (DPD) as well as a 1200-hour dietetic internship (DI). My philosophy in sitting for this exam is to study broadly and practice often! Thorough preparedness for this test lessens anxiety and builds confidence. We will work to identify specific areas of deficiency and build mastery in these. I have a variety of materials and resources for my students to work with or am happy to work with the materials that you have.
