Certified Tutor

I love getting my hands on all the stuff: the drawing, the painting, the ceramics, the weaving, the printmaking. Creating side by side with my students inspires them to catch the 'make art' bug! My love for creating fuels my desire to share the 'how' and 'why' of art making with others through teaching and displaying student artworks. I received my BFA (in Art Education) at Maryland Institute College of Art and earned my Masters of Fine Arts abroad in Venice, Italy. I discovered that art is a fantastic way to communicate, especially with speakers of other languages. Having had a wide variety of English and non-English speaking students throughout my 30 year art teaching career, I spent much time encouraging my non-English speakers to participate and succeed using the arts. I feel I am in a great position to tutor students in both the arts and in ESL.
