Certified Tutor

Hello! I am a fourth grade public school teacher. I work in a Spanish immersion program, which means I get to teach half the day in English and half the day in Spanish. I have six years of experience as a classroom teacher, and have tutored students in Spanish and English as well.

I love teaching. Tutoring is a great (and rare) opportunity to focus on one student and create and meet goals together. I have a Master's degree in elementary education and am comfortable teaching all elementary subject matter. I have a Bachelor's degree in Spanish and have spent three years of my life living and teaching in Spanish speaking countries, so feel confident tutoring middle and high school Spanish as well.

I am qualified to teach elementary math as I have a teaching degree and have spent the last six years working as an elementary school teacher.

I am qualified to teach ESOL because I have taught as a dual immersion language teacher for five years. As a dual immersion teacher, I have had quite a bit of training and experience teaching English language learners. I have taught students to read and write in both English and Spanish and believe that experience has really helped me better serve my students learning to read and write.

I am qualified to teach Spanish because have a Bachelor's degree in Hispanic Studies from Lewis and Clark College. After graduation, I spent three years living in Spain as an English language assistant in a public school, a nanny, and an English tutor.
