Certified Tutor

I earned my BA in Spanish at Drury University and my MA in English (TESOL emphasis) at Missouri State University. I have taught English language learners in the classroom and tutoring. I taught university students in South Korea, Qatar, and the USA. Currently, I tutor English as a Second Language, and Writing for all learners. I enjoy tutoring English writing for both "native speakers" and second language learners. My tutoring is student centered. First, I make sure the student feels welcomed, heard, and motivated with my encouragement. I make sure I understand the student's isuse or assignment first of all. After that we discuss how to accomplish the goals of the session. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family. My family includes my husband and two young children. When not working or with my family, I enjoy running and reading. I cannot wait to help more people improve their English use.
