Christine Karn is a nurse educator and experienced psychiatric nurse with an RN-BC and informatics certificate in tech support, and CPOE. With experience working in mental health, chemical dependency, and in teaching NCLEX review courses. Christine enjoys caring for those who suffer from mental illness and currently teaches both lecture and clinical for mental health nursing courses for a college in the Cleveland Ohio area, along with developing CEUs for nurses who work in mental health, chemical dependency, or in correctional nursing. With over 9 years of experience as a psychiatric nurse and chemical dependency nurse Christine utilizes her knowledge to assist students in passing NCLEX and assists graduates in reaching their goals. Christine also works with nursing staff to pass the psychiatric nursing certification exam who are looking to extend and enhance their knowledge and skills as a psychiatric, or chemical dependency nurse. Christine also is a domestic violence advocate, is the president and founder of a domestic violence riding group, and was a victim of domestic violence herself. Christine obtained her BSN from Ohio University in May 2013, her MSN in October 2015 from Indiana Wesleyan University, and DNP in 2019 from Walsh University. She hopes to one day positively impact the nursing profession and help raise an awareness of domestic violence, reduce the stigma associated with being a victim, inspire victims of domestic violence to follow their dreams, and educate the public on how misunderstood domestic violence truly is. Christine also hopes to assist nursing graduates in successfully following their dreams, achieving their goals, and help advance the future of nursing.
