Certified Tutor

My name is Ms. W. I graduated from the University of Richmond with a major in Elementary Education. I recently received my credentials as a Reading Specialist. I love teaching and learning in all subjects. However, teaching reading is my passion. If you can read and comprehend it opens endless possibilities for other interests. I have taught or tutored at the elementary level for the past ten years. I have also tutored middle school students in writing and reading comprehension strategies. I have taught second, third, and fourth grades, and I am currently a first-grade teacher.
I am a lifelong learner. Teaching is my second career. I am always learning and willing to share my knowledge. I believe that everyone has the potential to learn if they believe they can. Part of my job as a teacher is to believe in you until you are confident enough to believe in yourself.
