Greetings!
I have worked with children in a variety of capacities for over ten years and I find myself constantly in awe of the transformation that is created when we empower children to learn and discover their own creative, unique pathways to knowledge.
My favorite thing about working as a tutor is the ability to connect with students and really understand how their mind learns best and how to bring their interests and imagination into each session.
I personally practice yoga and a form of dance meditation called 5 Rhythms. I am a former Creative Writing teacher and taught at Miami Arts Charter School and used movement and meditation in my self-written Creative Writing Curriculum. I also tutored biology and chemistry intensively at Santa Fe Preparatory School in Santa Fe, NM. I have used creative exercises and innovative approaches in many of my previous teaching positions and I would love the opportunity to find fun and effect ways to teach your student!
I recently moved to North Carolina and currently live in Fuquay-Varina. I am happy to commute to Raleigh and surrounding areas and have a flexible schedule.
