I started teaching when my now 20 year old son was 18 months old. It started with a mommy and me program called Music Together and transitioned into teaching drama, dance and singing at various local theaters. Eventually, I went back to school for Special Education and landed a job teaching middle school. I soon discovered that my years of early childhood education and background in the performing arts was beneficial in so many unexpected ways. I knew how to break things down into their most basic elements and, I knew how to make learning fun and accessible. I have been teaching and tutoring children for 20 years and I have learned that all children are capable of success. My job is to figure out how to make the curriculum accessible, meaningful and most importantly, help your child feel successful.
