I'm a 50+ year old man with a little spare time to help out a student with math and computer/software related subjects. Python is presently my favorite programming language; I've used many others. My degrees are in computer science and law. I have a wide experience with computing technologies, from writing applications in Windows & Linux to information processing to microcontrollers. I've done graphics, audio processing, machine learning, web servers and scrapers and other cool stuff. I know the coursework is boring, but it's essential to implementing software, and these days you can do most of it on your phone or a Raspberry Pi. I'll work with you to understand the stuff in the books, and show you why it's essential for building stuff you really enjoy.
