Certified Tutor

I have extensive tutoring experience where I have helped students in courses ranging from the elementary school to college level. I am also of Pakistani descent and can speak Urdu and bit of Hindi if necessary.

In my tutoring sessions, a high emphasis is placed on the notion of 'practice makes perfect.' I ensure that my students do an array of practice problems in the subject they are struggling with to help them be as comfortable with the material as possible.

I try to break down the subject matter into many small chunks to help explain it in the simplest terms. I am very accommodating of students' learning styles and do my best to incorporate visual, auditory, or kinesthetic study materials into the session.

I like to work with my students by building their confidence and self-esteem. I believe that by doing this, I am helping them prepare them for success in not only the subject they are struggling with but also long-term life success.

When a student is having trouble with their coursework, I am very patient and empathetic to their struggle. If I need to explain a concept a hundred times in a hundred different ways for them to grasp it, I will happily do so if that is what is necessary for them to succeed.

I really try to make tutoring an enjoyable experience for my students. I have seen drastic transformations in many of my students' grades and self-confidence. A lot of my students come to tutoring dreading a subject but leave sessions loving the course material and feeling like they can conquer any life obstacle that comes in their way. Lifelong learning is very important to me and I strive to ensure that all of my students work toward achieving the highest level of proficiency in each subject.
