Certified Tutor

I am certified to teach all subjects in Pre-K through fifth grade; Middle School English Language Arts, Science and Social Studies; and Special Education General Curriculum in P-12. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education at Brenau University in Georgia. I also earned a Masters and Specialist Degree in Elementary Education and Instruction, respectively, from Piedmont College in Georgia. I completed my Doctorate in Instructional Leadership, with a minor in Conflict Resolution, from Nova Southeastern University in Florida. I also am TESOL certified by International Open Academy.

I began my teaching career in 2000 at a public elementary school in Georgia. I remained at that same school for 17 years. During my time there, I taught 3rd grade for 10 consecutive years. I spent five consecutive years as the Early Intervention Specialist. The Early Intervention Program helps students who struggle with reading and math skills. I coordinated and taught K-5 classes during this time. I also spent one year as a Kindergarten teacher and one year as a 4th grade social studies teacher.
