I have a passion to help students achieve their own unique goals. I will show compassion and understanding for my students while still requiring academic accomplishment and decency.

I was born and raised in China, and I moved to the U.S when I was a teenager. Currently, I am teaching Mandarin Chinese in a public school in Washington D.C. I'm also a graduate student at Arizona State University; I will earn my Master's Degree in teaching English as a second language (ESL) in Spring 2018. Prior to this, I was teaching English Literature at Laurel Middle School, Laurel, Montana. My bachelor's degree and license in Secondary (5-12) English Teaching was awarded at Montana State University. In addition, experiences of teaching ESL students (adults) in China have made me confident working with students from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

My career goal is to address the learning goals thoroughly, building an atmosphere of respect and support while making learning exciting and interesting. In short, I'm a young teacher who believes in the fun of learning and teaching language.
