Certified Tutor
I am a graduate of Brigham Young University-Idaho.I received my Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Education with a minor in English Education. Since graduation, I have been among the native Spanish people, read quite a few books, and worked on furthering my educational experiences. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Spanish, the culture and people. In my experience helping struggling students prepare for classes, we always seem to have the most fun reviewing the material and being able to use the language outside of the classroom. I am a firm believer of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. In my spare time, I enjoy reading that which enriches my life, going to movies, running, and spending time with friends and family watching our favorite teams on TV.

What is your teaching philosophy?
As I have had opportunities to be in the classroom, I have developed my own teaching philosophy. The ideal teaching environment should be inviting, respectful, and safe for the students to express themselves and have the courage to ask questions. It is important for each student to respect and learn from me just as I expect to respect , learn, and grow from them. I believe it is important to incorporate technology in the classroom, find different way to inspire and motivate students to learn and reach their full potential.
