I hold an Associates in Science from Monroe Community College, a Bachelor of Arts in English from Nazareth, and a Masters in Reading from Nazareth College. I am K-12 certified.
I love teaching reading and helping individuals improve their comprehension and fluency. All areas of English, Language Arts, and Writing are also favorites of mine to teach. I believe in getting to know individuals, understanding where they are coming from as well as their strengths and weaknesses, and adapting my teaching methods to their needs.
I am not only a current teacher, but also a lifelong learner. For this reason, I find it important to stay active in English and Education groups. I am an active member of the International English Honor Society, the International Honor Society In Education, and Phi Theta Kappa.

My interests and hobbies are as varied as the weather in upstate NY. I love working on crafts for both myself and as gifts. Reading has always been a favorite pastime. I have traveled the world through the reading of various genres. My love for gardening continues to grow! This year I even planted vegetables. I have 3 adult children and 3 wonderful grandchildren.
