Certified Tutor
I am a graduate of American College of Education where I received my Master's in Educational Leadership. I am also a graduate of the University of North Florida, where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Special Education with a focus on Specific Learning Disabilities. Since graduation, I have taught students from all demographics, academic levels and tutoring adults. I am certified reading endorsed as well as ESL endorsed. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about English, Literature, and Reading. In my experience helping struggling students prepare for Standardized Tests, we always seem to have the most fun (with remarkable advancements) prepping for the Critical Reading and Writing portions of the exams. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading which enriches my life, and spending time with my family.

What is your teaching philosophy?
We are all capable of learning ANYTHING, but first we need to learn what type of learner we are.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
I have a few questions that I do with students to find out what type of learner they are, and once that is accomplished we set up a major goal and objective goals to reach the major goal.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
I teach the skills they can use in all subjects that will make them independent and self-learners.
How would you help a student stay motivated?
By using the small objective goals and tracking to the major goal is a great visual for students to see their progress.
