I am very happy with our experience so far with 51Թ. They matched my daughter with reading specialist Mary and she is wonderful! My 10 year old daughter feels happy after her sessions and believes her tutor has already helped her.

I have always loved to learn, there are so many fascinating things in the this world to explore! I enjoy teaching, especially in a one on one setting and I love to see the joy of learning in my students. I grew up in outside of Portland, OR. I received my my Bachelor degrees, in Biology, Biochemistry and Neuewent on to earn my PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology at the University of Hawaii in 2009. I then moved out to Denver to do my postdoctoral work at National Jewish Health. Since completing that work I have taken a sabbatical from research and have been competitively racing stand up paddleboards.

What is your teaching philosophy?

I like to guide students through new problems and concepts by having them go through what relevant information they already know and add to it in small steps. If they have a solid understanding of the basics, many concepts are just small logical steps forward. Breaking it down in this way allows a back and forth between teacher and student that encourages the student to engage in the learning process.
