How can you help a student become an independent learner?

Provide the students with the right tools, meaning the grammar rules, vocabulary, and so on, so that he/she can be an independent learner.

Making learning fun with activities and games.

I can evaluate the student through conversation, or make him/her take a little test about the subject in question, and from there see the problems that need to be worked on.

Through the student's evaluation, I can detect his/her needs and, from there, I can go from known to unknown.
