In the area of math, I apply my background having spent extra-curricular time in math clubs and taking classes outside of public school instruction, like number theory and history of math, to make math an interesting, rewarding and practical subject for my students. In the area of reading and writing, I am familiar with teaching and evaluation methods to identify and help reading and writing issues, including reading strategies, like reviewing and summarizing, and writing strategies, like story maps, free writing, genre writing, and voice writing.
As a tutor for your child, I am committed to learning about your child's personality, interests, and learning styles, and work to make the content relevant and engaging so that your child will gain the confidence, on top of the practice to flourish in their target subjects.
