Certified Tutor

I am a Cleveland State University graduate with a major in Electrical Engineering. As a student at CSU, I managed to work two jobs as a math tutor. One of the tutoring jobs was through a program which helped students who didnt do well on their SAT, ACT and CSU placement exam. I was actually placed in this program myself when I arrived at CSU. My second tutoring job was through the Math Department at CSU, helping high school students who could not pass the Ohio State Proficiency Test. I've learned to really appreciate Mathematics though working my way out of the Remedial College and helping other student do the same. To me, Mathematics is like a universal language that anyone can understand.

I was like many of you, scared of math or doubting if I could ever understand it. Math is like a sport, the more you practice, the better you will become. It's okay if you don't understand concepts when they are first explained. My job is to help you find a way to understand and remember the concepts. I am willing to explore different methods in order for you to understand. The only hard part of math is believing that it is not difficult.

Currently one of my hobbies is practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. It is a very difficult sport and some days I wonder why I am doing it. But just like Mathematics, I work hard at it to gain an understanding.
