Certified Tutor

I am a cum laude graduate of Syracuse University, where I received my undergraduate degree and Western New England University, where I received for Juris Doctor in law. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in two majors; English and Public Policy. In addition, I am a member of the New York State Bar and I exclusively practice immigration law in New Jersey. Besides helping my clients to understand their legal rights, I am passionate about helping children learn and improve upon their reading, writing and presentation skills. It is so important to understand how to be a successful communicator and this only happens after having a strong foundation in English. As the mother of two teenagers, I continuously help my children to develop these skills. In addition, because of my training as an attorney, I understand how to craft essays and arguments in a persuasive manner. I have also delivered webinars, seminars and community presentations to groups large and small. All these experiences have been so much fun-I love engaging people to learn and ask questions. Most importantly, I am patient and encouraging with my students so as to create a positive learning experience.and I look to create a positvie lea. as I am playing attorney by day.I am passionate about Since graduation, I have traveled extensively, tutoring children of immigrants in California for the "No Child Left Behind" program; adults in Manhattan looking to improve their English (as I am a certified ESL instructor); and private clients in the Veneto region of Italy. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about English, Literature, and History. In my experience helping struggling students prepare for Standardized Tests, we always seem to have the most fun (with remarkable advancements) prepping for the Critical Reading and Writing portions of the exams. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. In my spare time, I enjoy reading that which enriches my life, yoga, running, and the odd game of ice hockey.
