Having 10 years of experience as a state certified science teacher has afforded me the opportunity to work with a wide variety of students, from special needs to the gifted and talented. This experience, more than anything, has helped me understand each student learns differently, and that the key to education is adapting to each student's learning style.
I was recently awarded my MD, and have a dual masters in education and chemistry. My extensive science background combined with my experience and training as an educator has given me a unique set of tools that help me maximize the benefit from tutoring sessions while making the time enjoyable for the student.
As a life-long learner and science geek myself, my goal is to help the student learn the material they need quickly and thoroughly, and to empower each student to become a strong, independent learner.
