Education is essential in every aspect of life. Becoming a teacher is one of the most rewarding professions. For the past 5 years I have worked as a special education teacher in District 75 in the NYCDOE. I have worked with severely autistic students and emotional disturbed students as well. As a teacher in District 75, I have learned several different teaching strategies that helped my students meet many of their IEP goals. Being that I have a vast background in working with students with disabilities, I have strategies that help both general education students as well as students with disabilities. Giving a student the techniques, strategies and skill to help them succeed in life is most rewarding. Helping others has always been a passion of mines, weather it is inside the classroom or it making a positive life decision, I am always there to help.
