I am a Ph.D. student at UNC Chapel Hill in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County with degrees in mathematics and statistics, and a minor in computer science. While I tutor a broad range of subjects in those disciplines, I am most passionate about Computer Programming and Data Science, as I use these subjects in my own research as a grad student and write about them on my Medium blog. I have worked with several college and grad students, and have found a lot of success with active learning. I am a big proponent of scientific communication, and am passionate about making math and science accessible to all.
