Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Shippensburg University with a degree in English to teach Middle and High School students. It is my belief that ALL students deserve high-quality instruction all day, every day. I have spent time in the classroom, student teaching both 8th and 12th grade English classes and substitute teaching. As a teacher, it is my goal to empower students, using reading and writing to show them that they not only have the potential to learn, but to succeed. I believe that this is done by taking a step farther than just knowing subject matter, but by knowing students well enough to meet their needs and to give them the opportunity and support that they need.
