The ability to read, comprehend and write well is essential for students to make intelligent decisions about their lives. Such skills also are important for students who wish to lead productive and successful lives. As a result, my teaching philosophy is shaped not only by the constant changes and approaches to communicative studies, but also by modern industry standards that require strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience has taught me that not everyone has the same learning style. Thus, I often find it helpful to first assess each student's learning modality before developing/designing instructional strategies to ensure a successful outcome for everyone involved.
