Certified Tutor
I graduated in 2014 with two Bachelors degrees from Syracuse University in Spanish Literature, Language, & Culture along with Communication Sciences and Disorders. I am currently pursuing a Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology from St. John's University in Queens. I had the opportunity to study for a semester abroad in Madrid, Spain, which enhanced my knowledge of Spanish arts, culture, and language immersion. I have experience tutoring ESL and all levels of Spanish Language. I enjoy working with all ages and have experience tutoring both elementary and high school levels of Spanish. With my degree in Communication Disorders and my training in Speech-Language Pathology I have experience evaluating and assisting with all levels of grammar and writing skills.
I feel passionately about creating a positive learning experience for students by catering to their specific learning styles and strengths. One way I do this is by getting to know my students' unique abilities and trying different approaches until we find the right fit. I have experience working with children and teens with various learning disabilities, and I feel these experiences have taught me patience and understanding that extends to all of the students I work with.
Other facts about me: I am a runner (I am currently training for my first marathon), I enjoy cooking, the outdoors, and photography.
