If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?
Take the concept piece by piece, helping them understand it one step at a time.
What techniques would you use to be sure that a student understands the material?
Role reversal is my favorite technique. I have the student teach the subject to me as if I didn't know the subject. The highest level of understanding something is being able to teach it.
