Certified Tutor

I received my Ph.D. in Information Science from the University of North Texas, where I focused on data science and healthcare research. My dissertation explored the intersection of physical inactivity, emotional responses on Twitter, and psychological factors influencing Omicron vaccination decision-making during the COVID-19 pandemic. My passion for data-driven research and my expertise in programming languages such as R, Python, SQL, and statistical tools such as SAS and SPSS, allow me to bring a real-world, hands-on approach to tutoring.
I am deeply passionate about helping students achieve their academic goals and overcome learning challenges. My experience in education, research, and teaching has equipped me to support students across a variety of subjects effectively. As an instructor, I have taught courses in Information Systems Security, Business Information Systems, Data Analysis, and Knowledge Discovery. My academic background, coupled with my strong research interests in data science, business analytics, and healthcare informatics, enables me to tutor in subjects such as data analytics, data visualization, data modeling, data engineering, and cybersecurity.
Throughout my teaching career, I have gained extensive experience working with undergraduate and graduate students. I have taught courses in data analysis and predictive analytics, mentored students on research projects, and provided guidance on complex topics, ensuring they gain a thorough understanding of the subject matter. My favorite subjects to tutor include data analytics and data visualization because I enjoy helping students transform complex datasets into meaningful insights and develop practical skills for real-world applications.
My teaching philosophy revolves around fostering an engaging and interactive learning environment where students feel confident to ask questions and explore topics in depth. I believe in adapting my tutoring style to meet the unique needs of each student, ensuring that concepts are explained in an easy-to-understand manner, and supplementing theoretical knowledge with practical exercises. I utilize a combination of structured guidance and independent exploration to encourage critical thinking and problem-solving.
Outside of academia, I am an avid researcher and enjoy staying updated with the latest developments in data science and technology. I also take interest in health and wellness and explore the integration of these areas in my research and teaching.
