I am very happy with our experience so far with 51Թ. They matched my daughter with reading specialist Mary and she is wonderful! My 10 year old daughter feels happy after her sessions and believes her tutor has already helped her.

Richard

Certified Tutor

I completed a general surgery residency at the University of Arizona after attending Eastern Virginia Medical School. While at EVMS, I also earned a Masters of Science. I earned my Bachelors of Arts at Emory University in Political Science with a minor in French Studies while satisfying medical school prerequisite classes. Teaching has always been a joy of mine, dating back to high school when I taught middle school students at a summer enrichment program. The skills I developed have served me well throughout my medical career. In medicine, at every level, you learn from those more experienced than you and teach those less experienced than you. My particular ability to teach was highlighted when I earned the Resident Teacher of the Year award for the Department of Surgery. I currently tutor mostly for College Application Essays, but in the coming weeks I anticipate beginning work in a variety of science and writing courses. I will always cater to each learner's learning styles and preference's. My goal is to not just help students "what" to think but to also help students learn how to think.
