Certified Tutor

I'm a Senior Undergraduate at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute pursuing a Bachelors in Physics and Computer Science. I have a diverse mixture of education experience: tutoring underclassmen in high school science with the National Honor Society, co-teaching an Algebra crash course for local middle schoolers, and privately helping with Multivariable Calculus. I am currently working as a mentor for Intro to Quantum Computing at RPI. I focus on STEM subjects with an emphasis on forming connections and intuitive understanding. There's nothing more satisfying than having concepts click into place, when material that was once intimidating suddenly flows easily in your brain and fits right in with the rest of your knowledge. I love that moment, and I like to help other's experience it whenever I can. Outside of academics, I enjoy making visual art, playing music on my piano or ukulele, and reading science fiction novels.

Hobbies

Outside of my academics, I enjoy pursuing a lot of creative outlets. I have played music for most of my life and occasionally compose my own pieces. I love art and illustration too, and I often focus on science fiction or fantasy in my work and in the books I read. I also run a Dungeons and Dragons game for my friends every other week and have dabbled in amateur theater.
