I am a recent graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, holding a degree in Art Education (B.S.). My professional experience includes working with students across diverse grade levels, ranging from K-12. My passion for teaching art is rooted in the profound impact it has on both students and myself as an educator.
During my college tenure, I forged meaningful connections and refined my teaching philosophy, particularly during my student teaching experience. I consistently infuse creativity and passion for art into the development of comprehensive and engaging lesson plans.
As someone with a diverse cultural background, I am dedicated to promoting inclusivity and diversity in my teaching. I firmly believe that fostering a diverse learning environment not only enriches the educational experience but also opens up limitless opportunities for creative thinking.
In my instructional practice, I have successfully navigated both large classroom settings and more intimate one-on-one environments, such as in the afterschool program where I guide students in developing robust portfolios for art school or related fields.
Furthermore, I bring a unique perspective as a former student who completed the IB Visual Art program. This experience provided me with a clear understanding of the curriculum structure and expectations for the course.
Outside of my professional pursuits, I am engaged in various hobbies, including hip hop dancing, cooking, and yoga. These activities contribute to my well-rounded approach to life and teaching, allowing me to bring a diverse set of experiences to the learning environment.
