I am a graduate from the University of Nevada, Reno and I received my Master's degree in epidemiology. I am most passionate about teaching biology and chemistry. I am a firm supporter of teaching students how to critically think for themselves instead of simply regurgitating facts and following the opinions of their peers. My hope is that I can impart this necessary skill for life to all of my students as they move forward in their own personal journeys. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, playing tennis, and taking pictures.

Because I'm close to Lake Tahoe, I love hiking around trails either near me or unfamiliar to me. While hiking, I love taking photos of the natural landscape and sometimes planes as they pass overhead. Aside from hiking, I play tennis and badminton, although not as much as I used to back in my undergrad years. When it gets too cold for hiking, I like to build and paint model kits of cars and planes.
