I am a high school Spanish teacher that is passionate about languages, words, and helping others succeed. I currently teach Spanish levels 1 and 2 but am more than capable of teaching higher levels of Spanish.
I've been with 51Թ for almost a year now and I love having the chance to help my students grow and achieve their goals. Other areas that I specialize in include Creative Writing, Journalism, English as a Second Language, and study/organizational skills.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Creative Writing from Grand Valley State University. I have Masters degree in Reporting and Storytelling from Ball State University, so as you can see I teach a wide variety of subjects.
I am easy to get along with and I move at your pace. If we need to spend more time on a certain subject or topic then that is what we will do. If we are cruising along then cruising toward success is what we will do. My overall goal as a tutor is to help you achieve success and meet your goals no matter how long it takes.

I love to read, write, and translate stories. I am currently learning French and Portuguese. Once I have a grasp of those languages I plan on learning Italian and an Asian language (probably Korean because I love K-dramas!) Next to books I am a movie buff. Before COVID I lived in the movie theater it seemed. Streaming has spoiled me, but once my local theater starts getting better movies in I will be heading back to the big screen. I also love video games. I'm currently hooked on Apex Legends thanks to my kids. I love board games. I'm a HUGE Dungeons and Dragons player. I also love playing Magic: The Gathering, and Rune Bound. My dream job would be working for Wizards of the Coast in developing D&D and MTG products.
