I went to a junior college in Illinois for my initial nursing degree. After working in a hospital for a while I returned to school for my BSN from Northern Illinois University. I loved returning to school because it helped me to have a much better understanding of the human body as well as the social aspects of nursing. From there I went on to become a nurse educator, teaching students as well as my peers. I found this to be very fulfilling and rewarding. I was not only helping my students to excel but learning along the way! I also am a certified yoga and Reiki instructor. I have been teaching yoga for 5 years and Reiki for 3. I enjoy primarily Hatha style yoga with meditation and deliberate practice.
