I received my Bachelor of Education in 2019 and have been teaching for 4 years now. I graduated with a major in English and a minor in Spanish. My teaching background ranges from grades K-12 with former experience working with students who are ESL or have a learning disability. Prior to graduating, I worked as a tutor where I learnt many different teaching strategies that can apply to all learning styles (visual, auditory and kinaesthetic). Through my teaching career so far, I have gained confidence in all subjects, but I am most passionate about English, Literature and World History. In my experience, I have taught and prepped students for PAT and Diploma's, as well as, final papers and exams. This has given me a wide range of different teaching skills that can be applied to all types of learners. As an educator, I firmly believe that the key to helping students learn and understand is for you to know and understand their learning strategies and passions first. I strive to bring teaching lessons to life through building relationships with my students and incorporating a personalized and unique lesson plan that best fits the child's learning tactics.

Hobbies

I have a wide range of hobbies that I do outside of teaching. I find these hobbies help to build me to be a better teacher for my students because it keeps me innovative and challenges my creativity inside and outside of teaching. I have a passion for photography and videography, as well as, reading and writing. For a more active side of me I enjoy participating in any outside activity such as hiking, paddle boarding and yoga. I love having multiple activities and hobbies because I find it allows me to build more skills that I can use for not only myself but my students as well.
