I completed my post-graduate degree (MSc. In Education, Technology and Society) in Bristol University where I specialised in Social Policy in educational technologies. Prior to this, I studied my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Politics, Philosophy and Swahili in Ghana's premiere university, University of Ghana where I majored in Political Science and Swahili with a Second-Class Upper Division. I am currently studying a Post-graduate Diploma in Law at the University of Law in London with the ultimate aim of becoming a Barrister in Chancery, Private and Public Law. After my post-graduate studies in Bristol, I have been in the teaching career for more than a decade. I have worked across a wide spectrum of the educational sector, organised and facilitated one-on-one home tuition, group and class tutoring, teaching from key stages 1, 2, 3, GCSE, ESOL, EFL, Further Education, A 'levels and Undergraduate education level.
I helped under-performing students (re-sitters or foundation students) as well as advanced students understand the contents of their resources, scheme of work for their national exams and bolstered their confidence to achieve excellent grades. Some of my students included students with Autism Aspergers Syndrome who won special awards and scholarships to pursue further studies in tertiary educational institutions.
I also foster and mentor students who have been incarcerated in prisons; helped them to rejuvenate and assimilate into society as responsible individuals. Most of them are now independent young adults with professional careers and living responsible lives in society.
Helping students perform creditably well with excellent grades in their exams brings so much joy and contentment to me. Thus, enthusing me to go beyond the extra mile by supporting and helping to facilitate teaching innovatively to my students. Although I have a lot of passion in teaching English as a language and Foundational Law, I have a passion for teaching other subjects such as Basic Maths, Information, Communication and Technology (ICT), History, Politics, Swahili as a modern language.
My teaching strategies enable students analyse, understand and solve complex problems in a practical and contextualised manner. As an advocate of education, my ethos and beliefs are centered on the views that education is a right for all and not a privilege for the few.
Every student is unique and therefore needs a skillful and experienced teacher tailored to meet their own individual needs in a safe and stimulating environment. My aim is to create a learning environment to boost my students with a unique drive and impetus that would enable them to explore and develop their intellectual acumen and also attain their full potential without any fear.
I look forward to developing and establishing a formidable teacher-student relationship (one-on-one) with a high level of flexibility and do the best I can for them as their teacher however long I have them as my students.
